Author and Adventurer, Loreen Niewenhuis, has been inspiring people to have their own adventures since she walked all the way around Lake Michigan. In her presentation, she weaves stories from her journey with fascinating information about the Great Lakes. Drawing on her science background (she has a Master of Science from Wayne State University), Loreen explores the formation and geology of these vast inland seas, the threat of invasive species and pollution to our lakes, and much more. She has spoken at many types of venues including museums, schools, libraries, private clubs, outdoor outfitter stores, and conferences.
